ALBION Hawaii's Keiki Juniors program is a unique opportunity to introduce your 4, 5, and 6 year old to the beautiful game of soccer. The curriculum designed by ALBION Hawaii Directors Brent Nunes and Mike Adrian is a fun-filled introduction to soccer. Children are encouraged to develop their mental, physical, and social abilities through creative soccer games, agility drills, and guided scrimmages.

Each Keiki Juniors player will learn the skills (ball control, dribbling, turning, passing, receiving, and shooting). ALBION Keiki Junior's 6-week sessions include two sessions per week, where we provide professional instruction for the youngest player to begin learning individual skills and teamwork. ALBION Hawaii directors designed this program to prepare your child for the ALBION Hawaii's Juniors Program, which allows the kids to follow the ALBION Hawaii player pathway.

By the time players graduate from our Keiki Juniors program, they should:

Social: Grasp essential life lessons such as respecting their teammates and coaches, the significance of listening during instruction, and the importance of teamwork.
Physical: Develop motor skills, balance, flexibility, and agility.
Psychological: Be motivated and inspired by soccer through this encouraging and fun environment.
Technical: Understand the fundamental rules of the sport - to not use their hands, understand the boundaries of the field, to become familiar with the direction of play.

Player Expectations: Players are provided a Capelli ALBION Hawaii training kit with a paid registration. We expect players to wear their ALBION training kit, with soccer cleats, socks, and shin guards. We also ask that each player bring a size 3 soccer ball (If you need to purchase a ball or additional gear, the ALBION Team Store sells certain items for players). https://albion-sc-hawaii.square.site

Parent Expectations: In the Keiki Juniors program, parent involvement is sometimes crucial for developing a long-lasting love for soccer. If your child struggles to participate in a game or activity, we encourage you to step in and help out. We also hope that you communicate any concerns or issues that you have with our program. We strive to ensure that all of our members have a positive experience.

Coach Expectations: The ALBION Hawaii staff will ensure that coaches will receive a coaching plan for each session and that fields are correctly set before the beginning of training.

Becoming a coach is a rewarding process, and we encourage anyone interested in coaching to contact our Technical Director, Brent Nunes, at bnunes@albionschawaii.org

*Due to new Maui County COVID protocols as of April 16th, 2021, each child must register for a seasonal US Club Soccer registration permit and player insurance. The cost is an additional $20 and will be paid directly to ALBION Hawaii and included in the program price.
